The Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference was started in the 1996-97 school year. The MIC provides a model for interscholastic excellence. Within a framework of appreciation and support for the unique characteristics of membver schools, the Conference enhances student opportunities and achievement in all areas of each school's programs.

MISSION

The Meteropolitan Intescholastic Conference strives to improve the high school experience for the students, staff, and community of each member school. The Conference

 

  • Provides an environment in chich sportsmanship is valued and displayed.
  • Recognizes student achievement in a variety of endeavors.
  • Raises the level of expectations and competition.
  • Provides opportunities for exchange of ideas, programs and people.

 

GOALS 
  • To maintain a stabel conference membership of a maximum of eight (8) schools.
  • To determine a Conference champion in each Conference sponsored inter school activity.
  • To determine a yearly Conference "All Sport" champions for both boys and girls.
  • To provide a method for the administrators to share information regarding all concerns.
  • To provide avenues for extra curricular activities as well as athletics.
  • To provide for the academic recognition of student athletes.
